Daniel Quintana, M.A., LMFT
I have 6 years of experience working with women, men, couples, adolescents and teenagers, and families. I have a passion and calling to work with LGBTQI individuals and people of color, and those experiencing cultural and racial oppression. I strive to make space for individuals who experience challenges and barriers around defining one's identity that differs from historical, societal, familial, cultural, racial beliefs and stereotypes (e.g. how men experience, process, express, and cope with emotions that challenge the varying levels of the status quo). I believe in the healing alchemy of the therapeutic relationship to ignite one’s ability to move past internal blocks and step into the realm of self-acceptance and self-empowerment.
My style of therapy is collaborative, empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate, and authentic. I have a client-centered and gender-responsive approach where together we will work on creating and developing a container for safety, healing, and transformation.
Areas of Clinical Work
Anxiety, depression, parent-child relationships, self-esteem, anger management, highly sensitive individuals, self-empowerment, self-acceptance, life/career transitions, parenting/co-parenting, substance abuse and addiction, stress management/self-care, intimacy in relationships, gender expression, sexuality, gender identity, grief/loss, and trauma.
